Quiz

Quiz nights are a great way to increase midweek business or just to add something a little different to an event. When working in regular venues we often get feedback over the first few weeks and mould the quiz around the customers that want to be entertained. This flexibility has earned us great loyalty with our clients’ customers and has, in turn, seen them come back time and time again.

We try and make quizzes open to all to avoid the common problem of ‘Quiz followers’ winning week after week. To do this we choose rounds that suit different ages and intellects at the same time. Below is a sample of what might make up a quiz?

•    Themed question rounds – A self explanatory part of the quiz. The questions are dictated by the scores people get from week to week. No one wants to go to a quiz and get low scores all the time and if everyone was getting top marks there is just no challenge so the idea is to keep the scores in the 80-95% bracket.
•    Anagram rounds – Normally run as a mini section in the quiz where a separate prize can be given out.
•    Listen & Learn– This is where a selection of songs are played back to front all mixed up, but in order and you have to guess the Artist & song title.
•    Film Quotes - Name the film from the audible quote
•    Spot the difference – A fun way to make the quiz more interactive.
•    The Super Sum – This brings back the school days. You need to work out the GCSE or A level sum, but of course you have to show your workings!
•    Mini crossword – often a 3 or 4 line crossword completed from the answers of the quiz
•    What Now – A selection of songs are played from one ‘Now that’s what I call music’ compilation all you need to do is guess the compilation number.
•    Picture rounds – From name the faces to name the film from the screen shot this is a great way to balance the quiz out.
•    Who am I? - Often a great way of deciding a tie breaker. A slow description of a person and what they do is read out. The first person  or team to get it right wins!

There are more types or rounds available and some examples of quiz sheets are available for download. We are happy to design artwork & promote the night to make it a success!
