Classic House, Funky ⚬ Groove ⚬ Jackin' House, Soulful House
Rob & John - Aka Beat Junkiez have been DJing for around 30 years, first learning to DJ with Vinyl, then CDJ’s as things progressed.
‘We had the pleasure of playing in clubs when we first started out - like Ministry of sound, Legends Old Burlington Street and the renowned Cross Club.
Because of our overwhelming passion for House music, we first started producing House in the early 2000s, making main stream House, progressive and early Trance, which was being played by Judge Jules on Radio one and was frequently in Paul Van Dykes play list. We also had support from Alex P and Brandon Block on their Kiss FM show.
We were remixing for some really well-known pop artists like The Blow Monkeys and Adam and The Ants, and after having a bit of a break from the music scene, in 2017 we decided to do a remix of a well-known House classic by Dionne ‘Come Get My Lovin’ featuring the vocals of Stacy C, which was soon picked up by Clockwork Orange and signed to their record label. This received a lot of Airplay on various radio stations and clubs, which spurred us on to get back in the studio to keep working on new material.
We then started to get a lot of attention with our next track ‘Give Me Praise’ - which was being played at most festivals and Radio stations around the UK and still has massive support from the likes of Tall Paul and Seb Fontaine. This was when we were approached by our management team and began our new journey back into the club scene.
Since then, we have had some real success with our music productions, being signed by various record labels and supported by some of the biggest names in the industry like Roger Sanchez, DJ EZ and Black Legend.
We are now back DJing in clubs and festivals which we’re absolutely loving and have been performing for the likes of Culture Shock, Catch the feeling, New World festival, Ibiza Classics, Ibiza Hut, Essence Parties and Dirty Stereo. Also playing in Ibiza for the last few years at some of Ibiza’s amazing clubs and bars like Akasha and Cafe Del Mar, we are excited to be returning in 2025.
There are exciting times ahead for the Beat Junkiez, playing alongside Norman Cook Aka Fat Boy Slim at the Rockwater in Brighton and collaborating on new material with some fantastic artists. We cannot wait for what the future brings for the Beat Junkiez but for us it’s all about the love of house music.
